WHAT: Spread the Love Peanut Butter Drive
WHEN: Entire Month of February 2018
WHERE: Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana
The Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana is kicking off an area-wide peanut butter drive to benefit children, families and seniors who face hunger in Northeast Louisiana. Hunger is a big issue in our community, with over 73,000 people in NELA struggling to put food on the table for their families. Peanut butter is a much needed staple as it is a protein-packed food that kids love.
Members of the community are encouraged to donate peanut butter in plastic jars or funds to the Food Bank by Wednesday, February 28th. Donations of peanut butter can be dropped off at the Food Bank’s distribution center located at 4600 Central Avenue in Monroe. Monetary donations can be made at www.foodbanknela.org or by calling 318-322-3567.
- Because the Food Bank of NELA can purchase the food in bulk quantities that our clients need, we can stretch your dollars further to purchase even more of this pantry staple with your generous donation. Make a donation here.
- As plastic is more durable than glass, we appreciate your donations of plastic jars of peanut butter.
