      FAQs

See answers to the most commonly asked questions about food assistance and our pantries. Still have questions? Contact us!

Are food distributions still held in the event of rain?

Please contact the food pantry you wish to visit before to confirm the distribution is still happening. Sometimes distributions are moved to a different location due to rain.

Why do the types of food I get each week differ?

The Food Bank receives food from a variety of donors, federal food commodities program, and other sources, resulting in a variety of food product availability.

I need more help with food assistance. Is there someone I can talk to?

If you need further assistance, please contact the Food Bank at 318-322-3567.

I don’t have a car and there is not a food pantry near me. Can I still get help?

Unfortunately we don’t have a delivery service. Many neighbors get rides from friends and family, or from a local church.
